Till now I still am not used to my lifestyle and hated the fact that I had to return. A lot of my kaki-s are still in the states and that is a part of me I can't just dump. Although some may say that they are 猪朋狗友, they would still be the one I would call if I was thrown into jail and had only one phone call that I can make. They are my drinking kaki-s and people I know that I can count on if I were to need some help.

Maybe that's why I'm so reluctant to drink back in M'sia. All of them are in the states while I'm stuck in this hole. Everytime I get intoxicated, I tend to reminisce on my friends back in the states. Not that my friends here not good enough... maybe just weren't meant to be drinking mates or that I'm still missing my lifestyle

Everynight, after work... when I sit in front of my computer, I wonder... WHAT THE HELL AM I DOING WITH MY LIFE!!! I can't seem to come out with an answer. Am I doing what my parents want me to do? Why am I not happy doing what I do?

Sometimes I really do wish that I was not the eldest! Some say that being the eldest is nice... but currently it sucks for me.

FML?

*sigh* T.T
Saturday, November 17, 2007

A friend approach me saying that he has a friend that is looking for temporary housing for 3 months.
Oh... they both did not make it through the "audition".

Recipes and instructions were given on how the food was to be prepared and with the chef claiming that he has been to places like Indonesia and the Philippines, and he knows how the food is suppose to be like, I thought maybe he should be given a chance to proof himself. The end result... rendang that does not look like rendang, nasi briyani that does not look like nasi until closely inspected and the list goes on. I guess I should have expected it. Afterall as M'sians, when you see a chinese doing roti canai or selling nasi kandar, a malay selling char kuey tiao or an indian selling char siew, would you consider getting your food from them? So what can we expect from an American chef to cook a few M'sian dishes.

I was told that my judgement on MaSA Night was harsh and that I should give credit to those that deserved it. All I can say that preparation for MaSA Night from day one was a messed, but the chairperson stood in and made it a presentable and organized mess. Inspite of all the mismanagement and bad leadership that the chairperson has, I guess he did a good job making it a presentable and organized mess. All the blame should not rest on his shoulder alone. I as the advisor failled to assist him and for recommending a vice chairperson that was incapable of assisting him as well.

I gave up on the chairperson weeks before the Night because of his attitude and behaviour. I got sick of the way things were being run and I just turned my back from it.

You need to know that I am not the kind of person that would approach ppl and ask if they needed help, that's why I would always tell my friends, if you need help ask me. If you don't I wouldn't know if you needed help or not and I would not be able to help out.

During the whole course of preparation the chairperson did not approach me for my help and I gave up asking him if he needed help or not. Even when it was obvious that he needed help I was very reluctant to lend him a hand because he did not ask for it. For that I blame it on my arrogance and laziness.... one of the few things that I need to work on.

One good thing that came out of this MaSA Night was that the new students came out and brought it together. Without them, the night would have went down the drain.
Thursday, March 22, 2007

It's so easy to get a credit card over here....

I was at HSBC this afternoon to bank in some checks and the lady at the counter started talking about the promotional offer that HSBC is having for their credit card. According to her, I would know if my application has been approve or not on the spot. Since I wanted to make some changes to my CD, I thought, "what the heck, no harm trying."

I went to one of their rep. and all she asked me were these questions... "Do you know when your visa expires?", "Are you still staying at Keph?", "How long have you been staying there?" and "How much is your annual income?".

After pressing a few keys, she told me...
"You have been approved and you have a credit line of $4500. You should received your card in the mail within 7-9 days."

The whole process took no longer than 5 minutes.

Now I'm stuck with one addtional card -_-"

Mayb I should have told her that I didn't want the card and I was just trying to see if I would be approved or not
Tuesday, March 20, 2007

Henry.... The reason was that there are some ppl that do not know how to sing it.

Come on... we have been singing Negaraku for over a decade, how could you not know how to sing your own national anthem. I wonder how do these ppl get by their morning assembly during primary and secondary, where they need to sing the national anthem, state anthem and school anthem. Do they just open and close their mouth like a goldfish?

You may complain all you want about M'sia or bitch about it, but as long as you are still a M'sian, knowing how to sing your national anthem is your responsibility.
